Audience favorite Marika Lichter goes looking for clues into the family past, which is more than just a personal discussion. The extraordinary theater evening is a homage to all those who have gone before, an examination of the concepts of "Heimat" and "Zuhause", an examination of the phenomenon of "being Jewish" and a declaration of love for life.

Marika Lichter tells, quotes and sings, lets the past blossom anew and illuminates the feeling of being foreign "here" as well as "there" - in the country of birth as well as in exile. Carefully selected songs illustrate and counteract the dramaturgy of the evening - whether (Jewish) tango or lullaby, whether hit song or (operetta) aria, political song or love ballad, the musical mosaic pieces fill the gaps left by real history . Jewish, Yiddish tunes - Jewish worlds come to life and, in conjunction with the subtly written texts, build a bridge from the past to the present.
