Bill Murray and Jan Vogler met while traveling and became friends in New York. In 2014, the actor visited the Dresden Festival for a day, and already then, the idea for a joint program was already maturing. This program—featuring texts by Miller, Whitman, and others, and music by Bach, Beethoven, and Shostakovich—premiered at the Dresden Music Festival on June 4, 2017. This production is now touring and will be performed in the world's major concert halls. The legendary Hollywood star is almost as famous for his appearances on "Saturday Night Life" and his spontaneous lifestyle as for his major film roles. His love of classical music is young, and his art of language is limitless. Reason to look forward to an exciting exchange of great music and great literature with two masters of their respective fields.
