When Konstantin Wecker premiered his program "Songs of My Life" on March 24, the artist probably didn't imagine that this concert evening would stay with him for much longer. But after more than fifty celebrated and sold-out concerts, demand continues unabated. That's why Konstantin Wecker has decided to give an encore and is planning another 70 (!) "Songs of My Life" concerts in 2025 – his numerous fans will be delighted!
Songs have shaped his life – for over fifty years. For Konstantin Wecker, this is reason enough to wonderfully relive the past decades on countless stages for himself and his audience. With the chamber music program "Songs of My Life," the Munich musician, composer, and author, together with his pianist Jo Barnikel – and in the trio version also with cellist Fany Kammerlander – presents his personal poetic highlights from his beginnings to the present day.
The audience can also look forward to a few surprises with almost forgotten songs. One thing has always remained constant for the passionate pacifist and committed anti-fascist: "In my songs, I have always acknowledged my fragility, my vulnerability." He has always found himself – and with it, his followers, for whom his lyrics have always been and still are inspiration. They can all expect an evening of encouragement, with songs and poems whose power will shape our lives for years to come.
