Ancient mythical worlds, heavenly sounds, and at the center of it all, a Viennese with star potential: A brilliant performance secured Leonhard Baumgartner's victory at the Eurovision Young Musicians Contest 2024 in the Norwegian Capital of Culture, Bodø. The distinguished jury of experts at the national preliminary round already praised him for his "expressive playing, virtuoso technique," and his "charismatic overall performance." In Vienna, he will present Brahms' Violin Concerto to the audience. The Jeunesse Orchestra will also be inviting guests to this thrilling showcase of Austria's young musical talent. He will also be joined by soprano Martha Matscheko, Featured Artist 2025|26, who will perform "Das himmlische Leben" from "Des Knaben Wunderhorn" in the finale of Mahler's Symphony No. 4.
