Joseph Haydn's 300th birthday is still a long way off. Nevertheless, the recording project "Haydn 2032" by early music specialist Giovanni Antonini is already reaching its first climax – live in the Golden Hall: For two late works by the master, who was already celebrated throughout Europe during his lifetime, the Basel Chamber Orchestra will merge with the period instrument ensemble "Il Giardino Armonico." And the Italian soprano Giulia Semenzato, especially celebrated in the early music scene, will perform highlights from Haydn's vocal output. Music critics recently raved about "fireworks of the highest entertainment art," meaning a celebratory mood is guaranteed as early as 2026 thanks to "Haydn 2032!"
