    His 100th birthday is approaching! An asteroid was named after him in 2024, and in the same year, his only opera, "Endgame," enjoyed a sensational success at the Vienna State Opera. György Kurtág deserves a celebration: with his own double concerto from 1990 – and a 2016 orchestrated piano-cello double (including "Cancan Macabre") by the conductor and equally acclaimed composer Thomas Adès. Nicolas Altstaedt and Dénes Várjon are the soloists!
