Giuseppe Verdi's masterpiece under the open sky in the opera arena at HeumarktThe Vienna Opera Summer is a cultural open-air spectacle that transforms Vienna's Heumarkt into a unique open-air opera arena. From July 1 to 19, international opera stars, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, and the Philharmonia Choir will perform a total of 12 performances on an open-air stage designed by Manfred Waba. Presented by Artistic Director and Conductor Joji Hattori, under the artistic direction of Dominik am Zehnhof-Söns, and narrated by Academy Award-winning actor Karl Markovics.Enjoy top-class opera in the open air - a unique opera experience not to be missed.After last year's spectacular success, the Vienna Opera Summer is entering its second round and once again promises an incomparable open-air experience. From July 1 to 19, 2025, Vienna's Heumarkt will be transformed into a breathtaking opera arena, where Giuseppe Verdi's masterpiece “La Traviata” will be performed under the artistic direction of Joji Hattori. Twelve exclusive performances will make the event one of the cultural highlights of the summer.
