The Wiener Stadthalle is one of the most know event centers in Europe and the biggest one in Austria.
The „Wiener Stadthalle“ is one of the biggest event centers in Europe and the biggest in Austria. The first two halls were opened in 1957 and the official opening by the Federal President took place in 1958. The “Stadthallenbad”, Hall A, Hall B and Hall C are used for sport and leisure activities. The halls D, E and F serve as stages for various artists and events. Hall D, the biggest hall of the “Wiener Stadthalle”, has room for approx. 16000 visitors with a length of 92 meters and a height of 17 meters which offers enough space for events with a high number of participants: Events like the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with Conchita Wurst or the cult show “Wetten, dass…?” took place in the “Wiener Stadthalle”. In addition artists like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Lenny Kravitz, Miley Cyrus, Ellie Goulding, Florence and the Machine, Linkin Park, Bryan Adams, Bruno Mars, Placebo, Nena, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, ZZ TOP, Justin Bieber, Prince, Oasis, Whitney Houston, Elton John, Metallica, Take That, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Backstreet Boys, Cher, U2, Shakira, Rammstein, Coldplay, Kylie Minogue, Justin Timberlake and many more used these Halls for their concerts. Musicals as well like “We Will Rock You” or “Dirty Dancing” take place in the “Wiener Stadthalle”. The “Wiener Stadthalle” is also used for many TV shows, opera nights, rock concerts, sport events, congresses and fairs. The Nestroy Theater Prize has been awarded in the “Wiener Stadthalle”, the largest ATP tournament and shows like Holiday on Ice and Appassionata take place on these stages. In the following months artists like Rainhard Fendrich, Annett Louisan, Shawn Mendes, Monika Gruber, Viktor Gernot and Helene Fischer will perform in the “Wiener Stadthalle”.
