After his acclaimed visit to the 2023 Reichenau Festival, Joachim Meyerhoff returns to read from his new novel "Man kann auch in die Höhe fallen." In it, the actor, whose books have long since made him a superstar of the literary scene and a favorite with all readers, processes a personal tragedy: After a stroke, the narrator, in his fifties, goes to his elderly mother's house in the countryside to write a novel about theater. The structured daily routine, the experiences in nature, and the changed, yet still close, relationship between mother and son give him the strength to rediscover his creativity and free himself from a deep life crisis.
