You want to know what my new cabaret program is about? I have to disappoint you. I can't tell you today what kind of act I'll be playing tomorrow. Maybe today I'll be slandering milk alternatives and tomorrow I'll be diagnosed with lactose intolerance. Maybe today I'll be making fun of gender and tomorrow I'll feel like a hydrangea in the body of an orchid. Maybe today I'll be sticking myself on the main road in public and tomorrow I'll be going on a private cruise through the Mediterranean with my mom.

But I should issue a trigger warning as a precaution. Because something in this program is sure to hurt feelings. Be it my absurd observations from everyday life, presented in my rural, rustic style, or that one Italian aria that reminds you of your forceps delivery.

If you ask me, cabaret and comedy are more like choosing people anyway. Either you like me and we spend a nice evening together, or you just don't like me and send me your mother-in-law. No matter how you look at it, it's probably my fault!

Martin Frank or Frank Martin?

Whether on TV or live on stage, the young man who goes by the first name Martin has now become an integral part of the Bavarian cabaret scene. Born in 1992 as a summer child in the middle of stable work in Lower Bavaria, he was influenced from an early age by the tension between art and cowshed, which flowed into commuting between the country and the big city.

Martin is a cabaret artist, book author, actor, and a singing student who was rejected by all music colleges. He has been awarded the Bavarian Cabaret Prize (2018), the Prix Pantheon in Bonn (2019) and the Great Kleinkunst Prize in Berlin (2019), among others. From autumn 2023, Martin Frank will be touring the German-speaking world with his current fourth cabaret program "Wahrlich liegt's an mir".
