Twelve handsome gentlemen have squeezed themselves painfully into their shells, trimmed their hair and gelled it, and put on their pale complexions to play the great hits of the 20s and 30s in a truly beguiling manner.

They have only one intention: to make their audience squeal and the dance floor boil. After what feels like a century without the Alhambra salon orchestra, the ensemble led by Berlin's Hans Daffke is now doing us the honor of blowing the whistle for a revival... among the guests you can expect the beautiful Sigismund, the charming Donna Clara, and a small, green cactus.

Music of the golden 20s and 30s from Duke Ellington to Walter Jurmann, from Spencer Williams to Max Steiner.
