They regularly break down the boundaries between pop music and cabaret, building genre bridges between Viennese songs, hip hop and singer-songwriter pop. The band's 5th long player was released in 2023. But if you want to experience Wiener Blond in all its musical facets, you should definitely see the two perform live on stage!
What began 13 years ago as an a cappella beatbox duo has grown over time into a fixed star of the Austrian music scene in a wide variety of line-ups, such as a four-person live band or accompanied by a string ensemble. Their cooperation with the Original Wiener Salonensemble was nominated for an Amadeus Music Award for the second time in 2024.
However, the common thread in their live performances and studio work is always their own compositions and lyrics with a Viennese accent, as well as their unmistakable two-part voice. In their songs, they shed light on all aspects of everyday life in the big city in an astute and skilful manner, showing humor and thoughtfulness - and sometimes becoming almost a little nostalgic. Wiener Blond say they don't sing love songs - but they make every crisis danceable!
On this unique evening in the Theater im Park, the duo will revive the songs from their debut album "Der letzte Kaiser" from 2015 to mark the tenth anniversary of its release. In a small line-up and together with the Original Wiener Salonensemble, they will create a special program consisting of all the classics of the band's history and highlights of their current program. A long-awaited limited vinyl edition of the album will also be presented.
