Not a day goes by when we don't look in the mirror. Few days go by when we look in the mirror and think: “Wow, you look fantastic again today!” We learn what is beautiful. We learn what is not beautiful. We evaluate and are evaluated. Some bodies have it harder than others from birth. The white bodies are “the beautiful ones”. The young, fit bodies without visible disabilities are “the beautiful ones”. The cis bodies are “the beautiful ones”. Stop it! Inspired by the book “Ugliness” by the artist Moshtari Hilal, this piece development with (not at all “beautiful”) young people between the ages of 12 and 16 celebrates ugliness and questions everything that is “beautiful” - played in the city.
