In his new solo piece, the satirical one-man theater piece "GLEICH," Alfred Dorfer, as is typical of him, elegantly slips into a variety of characters in rapid succession. On stage, we see not only grandmothers and innkeepers, but also bears, carp, and sunflowers. In "GLEICH," a story is told with numerous narrative and temporal digressions. Can we take what we see at face value? The temporal planes blur into one another, as do poetry and wit, philosophy and imagination.

In the German-speaking world, the satirist, with his penchant for sociopolitical themes, is unique in his characteristic style of presentation. His training in mime and acting stands him in good stead. With likeable poise and plenty of self-irony, Alfred Dorfer, a keen observer of our everyday lives, takes aim at social trends as a rhetorical sly idiom. He plays with his audience with amusing skill and enthusiasm. Nothing and no one is safe from his unexpected trains of thought.

Thought-provoking Alfred Dorfer is legendary for his bitter humor and merciless gaze. Through his distinctive style, he has found his own personal style, which many consider incomparable. This opinion was shared by jury members of the German Kleinkunst Prize, the German and Bavarian Cabaret Prizes, which he has also received, as well as the Swiss Cornichon Cabaret Prize. He also has experience as an actor, author, director, and long-time late-night talk show host.
