There will never be another comedian like him! No one else could shoot a punch line at the right moment as well as him... No one could pronounce a sentence like him... I knew his thoughts... he knew my thoughts. A single person. That was us both.

Al Lewis and Willie Clark were once the dream team of comic entertainment. But those days are long gone, the media is demanding new faces. The former successful duo, known as the “Sonny Boys,” have had no contact since an incident 11 years ago. Willie lives in seclusion in a small, shabby hotel room and Al is staying with his daughter. Both suffer from their social decline, loneliness and the fact When a nostalgia show about the great era of American comedy was planned for television, the famous Sonny Boys couldn't be missing. But in order to take part, the duo first had to pull themselves together But the two artists also have to recognize that time has not stood still in their profession and fame can be fleeting.

During their successful stage careers, the two acting stars Robert Meyer and Herbert Föttinger have shared the boards that mean the world countless times. Most recently they impressed in Josefstadt as vagabond actors in Ostrovsky's comedy The Forest.
